Creation, curiosity, exploration.

Make Change assembles diverse creators who are excited about using their practice to facilitate social change. We serve a network of makers, developers, entrepreneurs, artists, crafters, educators, and technologists working for a better world.

We explore the intersections of creating and social change in a full day of programming at Design Exchange, Toronto’s design focused museum in the historic art deco stock trading floor. We aim to balance talks and discussion with hands on workshops, and invite curious people to engage with the ways their work impacts the world and each other.

In past years we have covered project based learning, the intersection of race and makerspace participation, the future of sustainable manufacturing, civic technologies, the involvement of libraries and public institutions in maker culture and so much more.

This year, we will include:
– A speaker track
– Workshops
– Community table area
– Arcade and artwork
